Race Timing: No report available at this time.
Web Page: The banquet pictures are under the awards page. We
have 4 races listed. Joe will email and update this week. Greg will take
off some 2002 stuff. On races we will list the one's we time first and
on another link will list those we don't. Rob will get a flyer for the
Scout race to put on the web site.
Race Calendar: Joe has gotten several races listed in the next
newsletter now. He has those up to June 7th. The Y series dates
are as follows: Aug.2nd, Sept.6th, and Oct. 4th.
There will be two races on June 7th. One will do with computer
and the other with the cards.
Scholarship: No information available at this time.
Membership: Janet has been forwarded those renewals that have
been sent to Elizabeth's address. Next newsletter will have the change
of address.
Banquet: 105 people attended. So far the comments we have received
on it are good.
Next year though, we will not have as many drinks.(Soda)
Walkers: New Balance is the primary sponsor. This is set for
June1st. At Wesselman's Park.
Newsletter: Jerry has found out it will cost an additional $7.50
per photo. The middle sheet will be for the banquet only. He will only
put in those pictures of the kid's and Bob Tank. And will call the coach
to get their address's to send a complimentary newsletter.
Colette Loirlien has emailed Jerry about putting an add type on her
raising money for the Team in Training. He will reply back. We have decided
already we cannot do this. He will put her in contact with Elizabeth.
Step-UP: Toyota 8K is going okay. The club will be in charge
of road management along with the water stops. Do we want two shutes? They
will use the same set up as last year. Just have a longer shute. And if
it is needed, for two shutes, then we will contact Gibson Southern for
another clock. We will need volunteers. Rob will bring the scouts again.
There are 22 kids' that have reached the 200 mile marker. And some are
at 300 miles. And some others are at 400 miles.
Special Events: Craig needs to get checks from Ced. For the Scouts.
Next event will be the picnic. Don and Craig are going to work on some
ideas for this year. Such as workshops, children's training, speakers on
various running related things.
Old Business:
Art's Council: The ½ marathon has been canceled at this
time. Jim is going to write a grant to try to get some money for next year.
We will need to get a committee together for the ½, if pursuing
for 2004.
River Run: Has been canceled for this year. Will regroup for
next year.
New Business: None at this time.
Other: None. Contact Gordon if anyone has other business that
needs to be discussed at the next meeting.
Next meeting is March 12th, 2003 at YMCA at 6pm.
