TREASURER’S REPORT: Cedric Hustace presented the Treasurer’s report, it was reviewed and accepted by the Board.

RACE TIMING: Mike Higney was absent due to working over.  The up coming Thanksgiving 5k and Jingle Bell 5k’s were discussed.  We have adequate volunteers for the Thanksgiving 5k, but may need to get additional for the Jingle Bell.

WEBPAGE: Richard Tenbarge advised that nomination information for runners and walkers of the year as well as volunteer of the year was available on the website.  After nominations are complete Richard will contact them and ask for a bio from each of them. These will be posted on the webpage and hopefully the newsletter prior to the vote for runners, walkers and volunteer of the year.

BANQUET: The banquet will be at SWIRCA on February 5, 2005.  Bob Head and Mike Higney will take care of the food. Richard will take care of invitations and reservations and notifying nominees and high school athletes.  High school track runners of the year can each bring two guests free and any additional guests will have to pay.  The cross-country team will not be allowed any free guests, but their guests can attend if they make reservations.

RACE CALENDER: Janet Beamer is giving up the race calendar position and Jerry Walker has generously agreed to take it over.

WALKERS REPORT: Bob Head gave the walkers report.  The walkers meet all winter at Wesselman’s Park on Tuesday evenings generally starting at about 5:00pm though some get there as early as 4:00pm.  All are invited to come out and work out with them.

MEMBERSHIP REPORT: Angela Reckelhoff reported that she is working on a letter to send to new members and members who renew their membership for 2005.  All members paid up for 2005 will receive a membership card.

NEWSLETTER: Jerry Seddon gave the newsletter report.  We need members who have done marathons this fall or other outstanding runs or walks to give us reports of their events.  All club members are encouraged to send in stories related to running and walking.

STEP UP PROGRAM: Tom and Carol Anderson gave the Step Up report. Tom advised that clubs have been established at St Theresa Elementary, Scott School, a home school group and several others.  New logbooks have been printed at a cost of $3,840.00.  A thousand books have been handed out to date from the programs beginning. Tom also reported that he is placing pictures of participants in local run/walk events on his web page www.drtba.smugmug.com.  The pictures can be downloaded for a small fee.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM:  Joe Whelan presented a letter that he will send to senior counselers at high schools so they can notify eligible students of the scholarship program.  The student must be a track or cross country athelete and maintain a good grade average.

Y(NOT)2K: Don Nichols reported on the Y(not)2k. It will be held as usual on New Year’s Eve afternoon at 3:30pm and will be a great event for families with a clown, face painting, award for best costume, food, beverages, and door prizes.  The brochure will be available in a few days.

MEMBERSHIP DRIVE: Still in planning stage, suggestions accepted.
