TREASURER’S REPORT: The treasurer’s report was reviewed and approved.

RACE TIMING: Mike reported that the next race on the Agenda is the Poseyville 5K on September 25, 2004

WEB PAGE: Everyone agrees the web page is doing great and they are happy with it.

BANQUET:  There was discussion on the Banquet. No decisions were made and more discussion will be held next month.

RACE CALENDER: Richard reported that Janet will have to give up the race calendar due to being increasingly busy with her family.  Meanwhile we will forward race info to the web page and the newsletter (www.gerwc.com)

NEWSLETTER: Jerry reported that when we get new members we need to get that information to Barb at Aztec Printing so she can add them to our mailing list.  It is easier for the printer to add new members that to try to review an updated membership list to find new members.

WALKERS REPORT: Contact has been made with the race walking club in St Louis and next year our race walkers will receive information on races in St. Louis, Nashville and Louisville

MEMBERSHIP: Angela reported on membership and said that she will contact the printer and discuss getting new member information to them and attempt to work out any problems so that all the members get their newsletter.

PICNIC: Don reported that the Picnic went well, attendance was up and everyone enjoyed the horseshoe tournament.

STEP UP PROGRAM: Carol reported on the Step Up Program.  New logbooks will be printed and there are some new clubs including St Theresa’s Elementary School and the Weaver Home School.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: Joe reported that the committee is still looking at changes in the scholarship program as far as eligibility.

MEMBERSHIP DRIVE: Discussion was held on the upcoming membership drive. A letter to present members plus the club’s mailing list will be sent out in October with return envelopes included.  Membership cards may be sent to be members.  We will have to look at the cost.

HALF MARATHON EXPO: Richard advised that we would have a table at the “Y” half marathon expo. It will be held on Friday, October 8th and Saturday October 9th.  Richard will email everyone with times and ask for volunteers to help man the table

BROCHURE: Richard is having a new brochure printed to use at the expo to help sign up new members.
