** There was a lengthy discussion concerning the club scholarships. Cedric asked that we review what money is going into which scholarships and review the entire program. The issue was tabled until the November meeting.

1. It was agreed by those present to change the name to “Race Management “report.
2. Timing for the Thanksgiving 5k was discussed

Membership:
1. We have five new members from the YMCA Expo. 
2. Becky Kiesel has agreed to be membership chairperson

Step-Up Club:
1. Web page to be updated
2. Three new clubs are Highland School and Harper Elementary School in Evansville and Cairo Elementary in Henderson Kentucky.
3. Club size is now limited to thirty members for free incentives and clubs over thirty will be charged for incentives from a price list.
4. The club brochure will be revised before the next printing.

Special Events:
1. Still need a director.

Social Events:
1. The next event meets at the Knob Hill Tavern October 18.
 

The Jingle Bell 5k will be December 2, 2006

No update on GERWC clothing.

The 2006 New Years Eve GERWC race planning meeting will be October 19 6:00 pm at North Park Branch Library.

The 2007 Toyota 8k race will be May 5, 2007.

The Solarbron 10k is tentatively set for May 12 and the Health South race May 19. Both may be timed by GERWC.

Note to GERWC members. The November and December club meetings will be at the new Central Library in downtown Evansville at 6pm in the upstairs large group meeting room.

There was discussion concerning the club applying for Welborn grant money

We will discuss changing the meeting start time to 5:30 pm at the November meeting.
