OLD BUSINESS:
GERWC Open House Events- Felt they went very well and suggest we have more events like this in the future
NEW BUSINESS:
Toyota Spring Day 8k on May 5 was discussed. It was the consensus of then Board that this race is a major fund raiser for the club and volunteers for it will a priority on this week-end which includes the Healthier Evansville event on the previous day. Twelve to fifteen people will be needed on May 5th
Healthier Evansville Event- We have been asked to supply volunteers on May 4. The Board decided we will but a priority will be given to the Toyota 8k for volunteers. The Board decided we will participate in their expo even though there will be a $50.00 fee.
Ray Rayl C.D.- It has been renewed for 6 months per Ced Hustace, club Secretary
GERWC Sport Bottles-It was the consensus of the Board after discussion to giveaway GERWC sport bottles, yet to be purchased, at the St Pat 7k event in March with the understanding that all GERWC members will also will receive them (one for single and two for family memberships). It was not clear how many are needed. The Board decided to order 200-300 maximum for the St Pat event. Distribution of bottles to club members will be decided at a later date.
Warrick Hospital 5k –It is June 16, 2007 and likely under 100 participants. After a discussion no one was interested in timing this race. Paying volunteers was discussed as a possible way to get volunteers. For future reference, it was decided that “paying” volunteers would set a bad precedent for other races and is not an option we can consider as it is cost prohibitive. The club by-laws already provide reimbursing fuel costs for volunteers.
Business from the floor:
Bob Lauderdale wishes to thank the Ray Rayl race volunteers and those who read scholarship applications for him.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:00 pm
