Rockport Energy 5k. Asked to time and will if

Discussion on timing and finish line. A motion was made and carried to
purchase two small tables for finish line services. Cost not to exceed $50.00.

about having at a residence with a pool, grill and food
Step Up Club
- There
are six clubs including three after school. Total of all clubs is 300
kids.

Summer Track Program
- After
discussion last meeting concerning sponsorship the Step Up Club has agreed to sponsor
all nights and cover costs up to $500.00.
Special Events
- Run of
Luck expo booth March 15. Chris Thomas will set it up and we will crew it
from 9:00 am until noon.

Old Business
- Finish
Line crew club jackets discussed. A motion was made and carried to
purchase six imperial blue jackets with imprinting up to $50.00 each.
Chris Thomas and Bob Lauderdale will oversee the purchase.
- Pizza
Run/Walks. A motion was made and carried to have the Pizza Run/Walks paid
for by the club. They are open to club members only.
- Discussion
on club bus trips to out of town races. No action.
- Baptist Church 5k May 17 in Henderson. We will
act as advisers only, for small fee.
- Potential
2 mile race by Sisters of the Nile/Shriners in September at 6:00 pm on the riverfront.
- Potential
race by CJ‘s Bus group. 2 mile run/walk.
New Business
- Otter
Stadium Run. Casino Aztar is not renewing sponsorship. 5/3 Bank and Tri
State Trophies are possible sponsors. The date has not been set but we are
assured the Garvin Park Pool showers will be available. A
motion was made and carried to have the Otter Stadium 5k. Swift
Athletics has agreed to conduct registration at their store.
- Discussion
on buying a chip timing system and ways to raise the money. Some ways
include Toyota
funding and grants. We will co-ordinate with all timing personnel to see
what is needed. There is some concern if we do not update our timing
system outside providers may come in to the area and take some of our
current and potential timing business.
- Toyota
Spring Day 8k May 3,
2008. Volunteers are needed and should contact Tom Anderson
(see GERWC Contacts on the website for his contact info).
The next meeting will be at the downtown Evansville library in the large upstairs
meeting room.
Being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 7:30 pm.
