2005 Pike County Chamber Of Commerce 5K Run

Race Date and Time

A 5K (3.1 Mile) race will be held Saturday, August 13, 2005 beginning at 8:05 a.m.  Walkers are invited and a Kids Race for children 12 and under will begin at 8:10 a.m.

The Course

The race and fun walk will start at the Petersburg School Corporation Offices located at 907 E. Walnut St. in Petersburg, IN.  The race will proceed east to the rear entrance of Prides Creek Park.  Once in the park you can enjoy the beautiful scenery offered by this 90 acre lake before returning to the former Petersburg High School football field where awards will be presented.  The course is paved streets and consists primarily of gently rolling hills.

Registration and Fees

The entry fee is $12 until August 1, 2005.  Late entry is $15 up to race day.  Entries will be accepted at the race starting line from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.  Kid’s Race fees are $6.  Registration forms are available at the Pike County Chamber Of Commerce, 714 E. • The first 125 registered 5K racer’s and fun walkers will receive a t-shirt
• All Kids Race participants will receive a medal
• Door prizes
• 25% of the entry fees from all walkers will go to Relay For Life

In consideration of the acceptance of my entry, I the undersigned, intending to be legally bound, do hereby for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators waive and release forever any and all claims or damages I might accrue against Pike County Chamber Of Commerce, City of Petersburg, County of Pike, Prides Creek Park, Pike County School Corporation, and race directors, volunteers and sponsors for any and all injuries suffered by me while traveling to and from and while participating in the Pike County Chamber of Commerce 5K Run/Walk/Kids Run on August 13^th, 2005.  (Parental consent required if under 18).
